STIS-2022 — 4th International Conference on Science and Technology of Ironmaking and Steelmaking

Centre of Excellence in Steel Technology (CoEST), Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (liT Bombay) is organizing the 4th international conference on Science and Technology of lronmaking and Steelmaking (STIS-2022) at Victor Menezes Convention Centre (VMCC), liT Bombay, India on Dec 13-16 December 2022. STIS series of conferences, held once every four years, is an Indian initiative, the major objective of which is to create and sustain interest in iron making and steelmaking. India has emerged as the world's second largest steel producer. The steel production in India needs to match the pace with rapidly growing Indian economy. At the same time, India is also committed to achieve the global environmental goals through sustainable and green steel production. To achieve these goals, academicians, researchers and industrial experts from all over the world have to discuss and deliberate on innovative approaches and solutions on a common platform. STIS conferences have been successful in providing such a unique platform for the steel fraternity of the world.
