Vascular networks in all organs are the product of coordinated signals during development which specify cell identity. In turn, the cell types specified will play a role in maintaining homeostasis and responding to disease. Endothelial cell heterogeneity across vascular beds, as well as their metabolism, are increasingly being uncovered thanks to single cell RNA-sequencing and other state-of-the-art tools. The 2023 Vascular Cell Biology GRS aims to shine a light on new, unpublished research, and harbor discussion and collaboration, in a relaxed and informal environment so that novel and experienced researchers can interact. Attendees are expected to participate in poster presentations and short talks, which will be a great opportunity for trainees to gain experience and receive feedback as they move forward with their work.
