Helping to deliver our innovative programme for schools, colleges, community groups, families and young people, we are currently looking for a Communities Curator to be part of our Engagement & Learning team.

John Hansard Gallery is a leading contemporary art gallery. We are part of the University of Southampton and an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. 

The Communities Curator will co-ordinate the JHG Ambassadors Programme and help to establish the Beacons Programme for entry-level creative employees. They will generate new projects with and alongside community and artists, feeding into fresh approaches to co-creation and socially engaged practices.

Experience of working in a similar role and environment is essential, along with a good knowledge of engagement and learning within a contemporary art setting. Experience of multi-tasking and outreach work is important.
