INTERNAL VACANCY

This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic team member to join our Education and Student Experience (ESE) team as part of the School of Law at the University of Nottingham. You would be part of our friendly and high-performing Administrative, Professional and Managerial (APM) team, providing a high level of support to ESE activity within the School.

This role is focused on ensuring we are delivering the best possible experience for our students. You will support and develop our sense of community through community-building activities, student engagement support, and leading on our student-facing communications.

Working closely with our academics, and the rest of the Law ESE team, as well as ESE colleagues across the Faculty of Social Sciences, you will encourage and support student engagement throughout students’ university life: from Open Days and Offer-Holder Days for applicants, to Welcome Week for new students, through to graduation and engaging alumni in our community. You will also work closely with our award-winning student societies to organise activities for current students: recent examples include highlighting welfare support and Black History Month events.

You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and be a creative thinker who can bring your ideas to life in a fast-paced and varied environment. As someone who can quickly build strong collaborative relationships, you will be a key member of a team that is driving forward change and delivering service excellence.

What can we offer you? A supportive and friendly set of colleagues. Hybrid working arrangements with a blended approach of office and home working each week. As a University employee, you will have an excellent choice of benefits and rewards, including access to fitness and health facilities, staff discount and travel schemes, along with 26 days' holiday allowance (plus additional University closure days) and a highly attractive pension scheme.

Our success is delivered by our people. We believe that a diverse and supportive environment, bringing different perspectives to our work and allowing people to thrive, is the best platform for cutting-edge research and excellent teaching and operational support. We are seeking individuals from the widest possible range of talents and backgrounds, and we will appoint not just based on past achievements, but also on your potential for the future.

This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to sheenagh.bloomfield@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note, applications sent directly to this email will not be accepted.
