Researcher Academy Mobility & Placements Manager – Secondment Opportunity, Maternity Cover

The Researcher Academy at the University of Nottingham is a unique network for researchers and the staff who support them. It provides training, leadership, and professional development opportunities for researchers at all career stages. Developing, supporting and cultivating our research talent pipeline is a key part of the University of Nottingham’s strategic delivery plan for research. 

In this role you will help to deliver our ambitions in terms of building a culture of continuous learning, embracing an innovative research environment and supporting the employability of our researchers. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with an interest in gaining experience in the design and delivery of experiential learning opportunities that promote employability and sector mobility for postgraduate and early career researchers. The successful applicant will have experience in managing projects, will be a strong communicator and able to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders across the university and external organisations from a range of sectors. 

This role is based in the Researcher Academy, which works to promote a healthy research culture, to cultivate researcher excellence, and develop creative partnerships that enable researchers to flourish. The person appointed will have an exceptional level of professionalism, tact and organisational ability as well as a demonstrable commitment to Equality Diversity and Inclusion in research. This role is offered as a secondment opportunity on a full-time basis (36.25 hours per week) until 31 October 2026. This secondment is a maternity cover. The place of work is University Park Campus with some home working agreed on a departmental basis. This role sits within the Operations Team and you will report to the Operations Manager.
