We are looking to appoint an excellent communicator, problem solver and organiser to support all areas of our operations administration. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly and inclusive team who are committed to the smooth and efficient running of our school.â¯â¯  

Your role will be varied and involves providing administrative support under the broad headings of finance, operations and human resources to ensure the continued success of activities and projects undertaken by our staff and students.â¯â¯â¯â¯  

You will work collaboratively with the other administrative members of our School Management and Research Office, overseeing the work of an administrative colleague. You will also provide cover for the wider team activities including dealing with customer enquiries and working with senior managers in our School.â¯â¯â¯ 

You will be a flexible and supportive team player who can work to tight deadlines and prioritise conflicting tasks. You will have experience in establishing new administrative systems and procedures alongside managing resources. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are key. You will be organised and can work under your own initiative and judgement.

This is a full-time post (36.25 hours per week) based in the School of English, Trent Building, University Park campus, however we would be prepared to consider applications from candidates who are available for a minimum of 29 hours per week.
