Retrouvé: : 2026-03-10
Description :

This is a full time, fixed-term position until 31st July 2026.

Lincoln Bishop University is located on a beautifully green and pleasant campus just a few minutes’ walk from Lincoln Cathedral, Castle, and the old Roman city. Our story began in the 1860s as an Anglican teacher training college for women, which makes us one of the oldest Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Since then, we've grown, adapted, and modernised to become the thriving university we are today. We're still experts in teaching and education, but we've now got a wider portfolio of exciting degree courses than ever before. We offer courses in a wide range of subjects, from Undergraduate Degree level to PhD, and much more in between.

LiNCHigher (Lincolnshire’s Office for Students Uni Connect partnership), a consortium comprising of eight higher education providers (Lincoln Bishop University as lead institution, University of Lincoln, Lincoln College, Stamford College, Grantham College, Skegness College, Bishop Burton College, Boston College) & Lincolnshire County Council is seeking to appoint a new School Engagement Officer to deliver our aspirational and empowering work.

LiNCHigher seeks to identify and address the barriers around progression to higher education for young people living in areas where progression is low overall, and particularly low when GCSE attainment is considered. We develop, host, fund and deliver a wide variety of programmes and events that aim to empower young people from under-represented backgrounds to access and succeed at post Level 4 study. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual who wants to improve the life chances of young people across the county, by working in partnership with local school stakeholders to enact long term change for those under-represented in higher education.

Working within a passionate, creative and innovative team, you will work with the Schools and Colleges Programme Manager to design and deliver our programme of activities including the Future Focus Programme and Raising Attainment Initiative. You will play a key role in providing information and advice to support pupils and schools across Lincolnshire.

To help you achieve this you will be fully supported by a team with a wealth of knowledge and a clear vision for the future of provision in Lincolnshire.

If you want to work with a team that is committed to changing the aspirations and future prospects of young people locally, showcasing how higher education is a doorway to a world of greater possibilities and really making a difference to young people's career trajectory, then the LiNCHigher project is a perfect fit for you.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will commence the role at their earliest convenience, depending on their situation, and is offered as a full-time post, but happy to provide flexibility to the right candidate.

Lincoln Bishop University offers a generous employee benefits package including:

•    25 days holiday for Grades 1-6

•    35 days holiday for Grades 7+

•    Plus 3 additional discretionary days annual leave over the Christmas period

•     BG Flex (a private pension scheme managed by Aviva) offering a 10% employer contribution and the employee contributions are voluntary and flexible.

•    Cycle to Work Scheme

•    24/7 Employee Assistance Programme including face to face counselling sessions

•    Agile Working Scheme to support employees work-life balance
