The School of Life Sciences is seeking to appoint an Education and Student Experience Officer who will provide administrative support and management for student experience and teaching and learning within the School. 

The role-holder is responsible for coordinating and developing critical aspects of student experience and teaching and learning administration, streamlining processes and collaborating on new initiatives. You will contribute to the planning and organisation of the School’s welcome events for new students, open days and other events for prospective and current students. You will also be responsible for coordinating school communications with current students and developing student community and engagement. 

The successful candidate needs to have proven experience in planning and organisation. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will bring first class administrative and IT skills, including strong data manipulation skills and excellent attention to detail. Taking a proactive and flexible approach to managing your workload to meet strict deadlines, you will also be experienced in working supportively as part of a team to deliver activities in a fast-paced and varied environment. You will have the problem-solving skills and creative thinking required to develop and improve processes and aspects of student experience.

This is a full-time secondment (36.25 hours) until 30 April 2027. Prior agreement must have been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role .

The University of Nottingham supports hybrid working with arrangements agreed locally. In practice this means the team balances the working week with some time spent on campus and some time spent working from home to support flexibility recognising that individuals and teams can be effective given the choice of environment.
