The Role

The Department of Estates is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Claverton Down campus together with off-campus buildings and facilities.  Due to continued expansion of the Campus and further future planned expansion the Department of Estates wish to recruit a Telecoms Manager.

The post holder will report to the Electrical Services Manager and will be responsible for all Telecoms systems both on and off campus. The successful candidate will be required to develop, manage and implement telephony, voice recording and mobile data strategy including the integration between various systems and services. The Telecoms Manager will proactively manage the technical environment to ensure maximum availability and the efficient operation of the 24/7 University critical telephony and mobile data network services across various different Departments.

The Ideal Candidate

In order to be successful you will require technical experience commissioning and managing the following systems:

- Knowledge and experience of MITEL enterprise management software

- Knowledge and experience of Siemens ISDX system

- Knowledge and experience of Netcall voicemail

- Knowledge and experience of Bts console and corporate Information system

- Telecoms wiring systems

- VOIP systems and management

- A minimum qualification of Certificate in Advanced Telecommunications.

- Experience of organising and managing planned, reactive and legislative compliance works associated with commercial building services.
