Maintenance Operative (Halls Painter and Decorator) (NHE120817)

Working as part of the Estates Maintenance Team you will carry out all aspects of painting and decorating within the student Halls of Residence and other University buildings to a high standard. You will be required to prepare designated areas for work ensuring the correct materials are ordered and will identify appropriate colour schemes and finishes to blend with existing decorations.

Candidates should be qualified to NVQ 2 or equivalent in painting and decorating and have demonstrable post qualification experience in a similar post. The successful candidate should also have the ability to work using their own initiative and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers. Due to the frequency with which the post holder will drive vehicles between University sites candidates must hold a full current driving license unless disability precludes this. 

Hours of work are 36.25 per week, worked mainly Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be required.
