The post is open to all areas of human goegraphy, with preferred expertise in environmental geography, along with one or more of historical and cultural geography, cities and globalisation, or development and sustainability.  An ability to teach quantitative data analysis and GIS in a human geography context will be an advantage, but is not essential.

Learning and teaching activities in Geography include BA Geography and a specialist BA Human Geography pathway.  In 2016, 80% of our students obtained an upper second class degree or a first, and 95% were in employment 6 months after graduation. Geography programmes are consistently rated highly in the National Student Survey (NSS), and we are committed to maintaining high quality teaching.  The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic geographer with a passion for teaching.
