We seek an individual who can demonstrate experience of leading and developing a team of staff to provide a high level of service to a wide range of users, and taking responsibility for developing a broad area of service provision (including: space, research technology, data management and Health and Safety).  You should also have a track record of providing technical support for technical electronic equipment within a research intensive environment, and a good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety and data management legislation.

Our research is housed on-site in one two-storey building (Whewell) with a range of labs dedicated to behavioural testing across the lifespan, and specialised laboratories devoted to neuroscience methodologies (such as EEG, NIRS, TMS, and tDCS), eye tracking, psychopharmacological testing, motion capture and virtual reality testing, and interviewing and observation. Additional labs are housed in our main building (Fylde) and include facilities for EEG and auditory testing. We also have our own dedicated teaching research methods and computing labs, equipped with interactive AV presentation facilities.

There are currently four research groups within the Department: Infancy and Early Development; Language and Literacy; Perception and Action; and Social Processes. To find out more about each of these groups please visit www.lancaster.ac.uk/psychology/research
