Working at our vibrant Falmer campus with regular trips into the city centre and our Grand Parade campus, this is a great opportunity for an experienced administrator to support the School Administration Manager to deliver an efficient and effective administrative service for staff and students.  You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of operational administration, the line management of members of the administration team and the management of strategic School projects.  Working closely with the School Management Group in overseeing and advising staff and students on procedures and regulations, you will also have particular responsibility for activities relating to the support of course administration, student assessment and examination board administration.

Experience of interpreting complex regulations is essential, as is line-management or supervisory experience, excellent diplomacy and negotiating skills with the ability to be assertive when necessary.  You will also have the ability to prioritise work effectively, judge the relative importance of conflicting demands and plan actions in order to meet deadlines and to consider various perspectives and the overall strategic picture.
