This post is full time, fixed term for 2 years.

Applicants are invited for a Clinical Research Fellow in Cancer Medicine within the Cancer Research Group of the Hull York Medical School. The post is fully funded and suitable for a trainee with a national training number and will be at the Specialist Trainee Level for either medical or clinical oncology.

The successful candidate will undertake a project in pancreatic cancer leading to a higher degree (MD).  This is a project that will be studying novel biomarkers in the fluid removed from pancreatic cysts with a goal to improve diagnostics of precancerous lesions. This is a stand-alone project within the TEM-PAC (uTF and Endo180 Markers in Pancreatic Cancer) umbrella study. The post holder will have to work collaboratively within the surgical (Co-PI Mr Pavlos Lykoudis) and radiological departments (Co-PI Dr Abdul Razack), with Research Staff in the Cancer Trials Unit, and with laboratory scientists (Scientific PI Dr Justin Sturge) in the Allam Building at the University of Hull where their laboratory studies will be based.
