The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of exceptional creative, business and service professionals. This is a post in the newly founded Policy and Practice Research Institute for Screen and Music which unites the world class research of the London College of Music and the London School of Film Media and Design.

The main purpose of this post is to assist Professor Emily Caston in completing the digital research outputs for two research grants, the AHRC’s Fifty Years of British Music Video: Industry Impact and Influence, and the Follow on Funding Grant Dancing and Dreaming. The work will be based at the St Mary’s site, and may involve trips to the British Film Institute and British Library.

The post requires strong research skills, excellent proof-reading and fact checking as data will be entered on national databases.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in the film or television industries, knowledge of digital asset management and conservation and understanding of and contacts in post-production in London. They are also expected to have a Master’s degree or equivalent.
