We are looking for two Lecturers in Work and Organizational Psychology. The positions are available at the Department of Social, Health and Organizational Psychology. Our department teaches and conducts research in the fields of Work, Organizational and Social and Health Psychology, focusing on how people influence each other's behaviour, directly and indirectly, consciously and unconsciously, in a wide variety of contexts. Our research concentrates on three interrelated domains: motivation, self-regulation and performance. In doing so we combine fundamental and applied approaches to study human cognition and behavior in the social, health, organizational and work contexts.

The Social, Health and Organizational Psychology Department is part of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Science of Utrecht University. We have ongoing research collaborations with among others the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU), the Utrecht School of Law, TNO and Unilever. The Department also participates in three Focus Areas: Neuroscience and Cognition Utrecht, Professional Performance and Future Food Utrecht.

The Work and Organizational Psychology Unit focuses on issues of health and individual behaviour in employment situations, within teams or whole organizations. We employ a variety of methods including behavioral lab experiments, psycho physiology, eye tracking, surveys and observational studies. We have outstanding research facilities within a state-of-the-art faculty lab environment, including eye- and limb-movement registration, virtual reality, TMS, EEG and access to MRI. Nationally and internationally we are well-known for our research in the areas of work stress, worker health and well-being, diversity and inclusion.

The candidate will teach in the Undergraduate programme Psychology and Master programme Work and Organizational Psychology. Tasks involve among others teaching courses in work and organizational psychology (e.g. From theory to intervention, Strategic Human Resource Management, Organization Psychology, Work Psychology) as well as thesis supervision at the BSc and MSc levels.
