Discovery Services Librarian (PERM-106-2018)

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all of the Library’s discovery services including online catalogues and resources, resource authentication, reading list management, our research repository, and scanning services. The post holder will also be responsible for postgraduate research support, service statistics and data analysis and some subject liaison duties, including cataloguing and classification.  For an informal chat about the role contact Emma Sansby on 01522 583793 or email emma.sansby@bishopg.ac.uk.  For recruitment enquiries email recruitment@bishopg.ac.uk Interviews for this post will include a 10-minute presentation, the purpose of which is to assess candidates’ communication and ICT skills.  Each candidate is expected to introduce to the panel up to three websites or apps related to postgraduate research and/or postgraduate research support, explaining their purpose, features and functionality and why they have chosen them.  Candidates are expected to prepare for any unscheduled technical failure on the day (e.g. a website being down).
