Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Assistant to cover staff shortages resulting from maternity and parental leave in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at University Park, Nottingham.

The person appointed will be part of the team delivering undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes. The role holder will be expected to assist in teaching modules in Food Process Engineering and support the delivery of a number of other modules throughout the year. The role holder will be expected to lecture, support laboratory and problem solving classes and projects. The successful candidate will be expected to develop their own teaching skills and support other members of the team. 

Candidates must hold an 1st class or 2.1 undergraduate Degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent process engineering subject be be enthusiastic and motivated. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity on complex information, as well as to facilitate conceptual thinking, innovation and creativity, are also essential requirements of the post.

The post is available from 01 September 2018 until 31 August 2019. The position is open to a job share and could also be filled as two 50% part-time posts.
