Assistant/Associate Professor in History and International Relations (UNIM114)

The School of Politics at the Malaysia Campus is looking to recruit an Assistant or Associate Professor in History and International Relations (PHIR). 

We seek a talented individual with a doctoral degree in International Relations or International Development (or cognate degree).The successful candidate should be able to teach International Relations or International Development. Preference will be given to those who are able to teach International Organization, International Relations & Development and International Relations in East Asia and ASEAN. They should also have an established record of research leading to publications which is expected at the Associate Professor level. The successful candidate should be familiar with online teaching tools, be able to work collegially and collaboratively with peers and have capacity to deal sympathetically and productively with students at all levels

Duties and responsibilities will include teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as supervising of undergraduate and postgraduate students and dissertations. Required to develop a successful research agenda and responsible for the development/updating of programmes and production/revision of course information. A high level of English both verbal and written communication is required along with tertiary level teaching experience. The undertaking of committee memberships and completion of administrative duties in line with the role.

Salaries are competitive within the Malaysian context.
