Teaching Support Technician (MED263518)

Applications are invited to the above role to provide laboratory and technical support to the organisation and preparation of undergraduate laboratory practical classes, operating in conjunction with the David Greenfield Human Physiology Unit, Medical School site and David Ross Sports Village. Provision of specialist technical skills in the disciplines of Exercise Physiology, Metabolism and Nutrition for the new BSc in Sport & Exercise Science.

The role holder may be required to support research laboratories at certain times of year.

The candidate must have experience in human metabolism, physiology or nutrition facility or proven experience in relevant techniques and equipment.Good manual handling skills to include the ability to lift and move objects as this role will involve storing and moving consumables and equipment are essential as is the willing ness to occasionally work early/late, outside of normal working hours.

Candidates must hold a HNC in relevant subject or equivalent qualification plus considerable/work experience in a relevant role, or substantial work experience in a relevant role.

This is a full time, permanent role. Job share arrangements may be considered.
