The Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU) has recently taken on the hosting of the UK Trial Managers’ Network (UKTMN) and is seeking to recruit a manager for the network. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in the UKTMN – network of >1000 professionals who have clinical trial management responsibilities working across the UK. The role-holder will lead and manage the day-to-day coordination of UKTMN activities, performing a broad-range of activities. They will work closely with the UKTMN Working Group to ensure effective management and contribute to the strategic development of the UKTMN.

Established in 1998, the UKTMN aims to facilitate the development of a well-trained, highly motivated, effective workforce of trial managers within the UK health care system who will make an important contribution to the efficient delivery of high quality clinical trials. It aims to provide a forum which will promote best practice in effective management and delivery of clinical trials, and provide a focus for the professional competencies required to effectively manage a clinical trial and thereby developing a career pathway for trial managers. UKTMN also seeks to promote a shared understanding of the role and value of effective trial management within clinical research.

The post holder will benefit from the same training and educational opportunities as our trial management staff in a thriving multidisciplinary research environment.
