Central Hub Administrator (SS0109)

The Student Services Directorate is seeking to appoint an administrator to join the existing team.

The Student Services Directorate aims to enhance the student experience through the provision of high quality advice, guidance and support to students of the University. The Directorate places service excellence at the core of its activity through a team of highly motivated, professional people. Comprising of a variety of teams geared to support students, the service area places student achievement and retention at the core of its business and seeks to take a proactive and innovative approach to the activities offered as part of the service area.

As part of a small team lead by The Head of Customer Service and Administration, the administrator plays a significant role in ensuring all administrative functions of the primary service area and wider Directorate are undertaken to a high standard in a timely and effective manner. Administrators provide a front line service to applicants, students and staff across other professional and academic areas in relation to the support of students and the administrative elements which are related to this. 

The Directorate is fully committed to ensuring all staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to undertake their role as part of a professional, sector leading service. Staff development is an integral aspect of supporting staff to deliver services of the highest possible professional standards.

The post holder must be able to deal confidently and effectively with a range of people who are likely to be distressed, displaying a professional, non-judgmental and helpful attitude and handling highly confidential matters in a sensitive manner.
