Description :

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and motivated lecturer to join the Human Resource Management (HRM)/ Organisational Behaviour team within Brighton Business School.  Ranked in the top five Business Schools for impact in the last REF, Brighton is proud of its reputation for producing highly employable and adaptable graduates and postgraduates.

The School seeks to recruit a lecturer in HRM who combines a commitment to the highest standards of education with strong researchpotential.   Applications may be in any field of HRM, but we are looking for some expertise in Employee Relations and/or International HRM/Cross-Cultural.

You will need to hold a relevant degree and postgraduate qualification in HRM while membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel andDevelopment would be desirable.  It is expected that all staff in theSchool will actively engage in research and scholarship.  If you have aPhD and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the University has an active programme for supporting early career researchers.

You will be committed to educating students at undergraduate and postgraduate level using a mixture of traditional and innovative teaching methods. As was recognised by our TEF Silver status, academic staff at Brighton support student learning through open, friendly, student-centred attitudes towards excellence in teaching.

We have an aspiration that all staff in the School will be qualified in higher education teaching at a level equivalent to Fellowship ofthe Higher Education Academy.  Staff without formal teaching qualifications will be expected to complete the University’s postgraduate certificate in higher education teaching or apply for an HEA fellowship.
