Technical Assistant - Resources Store (TS18-08)

Staffordshire University’s Media & Communications Hub, within Technical Services, wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Assistant to work within our Resource Stores on a part-time 0.8 FTE basis (29.6 hours per week), Monday to Thursday. 

The role will involve working closely with technical and academic colleagues to ensure excellent service delivery within a busy, customer-driven environment. You will be part of the team responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of over 3,000 assets, supporting a diverse range of media-centric and creative digital platforms.  

Working with up-to-date industry standard equipment, you will have a passion for customer service complemented by practical skills and an acute attention to detail. You will also possess up to date knowledge of both video and audio production technology. You will be required to operate/administer a dedicated e-booking system, maintain basic and high-end equipment, support user demands and prioritise tasks whilst providing a friendly and efficient service.

This role will involve working between midday and eight pm, four days a week during academic term time. Outside of traditional term time, the role holder will be required to work core 9-5 business hours on the same 0.8 FTE basis.
