The Music subject team within the School of Arts requires a Technical Resources Manager to oversee technical activity within the music area. The School of Arts is made of four subject areas: Drama, English and Creative Writing, Music, and Screen. 

The successful applicant will be expected to manage the studio facilities, teach on the degree provision, and will be responsible for a small team of specialist academic support within the area. Working alongside other technical leads in the School they will be expected to develop a School based approach to support creative work for students and staff. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a studio resource, experience of teaching, and will have knowledge in the area of music production and leading technical support for events. 

The School is extremely well provisioned with SSL Duality, SSL AWS 924, AWS 948, Avid S6, and Midas Consoles in professionally designed studios completed in 2016. The main concert venue, The Middleton Hall, has recently undergone a 10 million pound refurbishment and includes a sound recording control room alongside video capture and lighting control room, as well as benefiting from flexible acoustics. The School also has a vast array of professional microphones and is host to several professional events each year.
