Candidates are invited to apply for this vacancy within the busy Research Support Team in the School of Biosciences on the University’s Sutton Bonington Campus.

The successful candidate’s primary role will be to support external research grant applications, working closely with academics and with the Research & Impact Manager to develop research proposals, providing essential guidance on funders and funding calls. The role holder will be the primary contact for applicants and provide effective support and advice for the administration and timely submission of research proposals.

Additionally the role holder will facilitate project set up and provide specialist advice to academics on research project finances to ensure external research income is utilised to maximum effect. 

Budgetary experience coupled with knowledge of national, EU and international agency funders is essential. The role holder will also have excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to define priorities and work flexibly and effectively in a methodical manner with attention to detail to meet funder deadlines.

This post will be offered on a permanent contract, hours of work will be full-time (36.25 per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
