The Faculty of Engineering & Design is renowned for its research excellence and teaching quality. 

Responsible to the Faculty Finance Manager, you will work as an effective member of the Faculty Finance team and will check, process and file a variety of finance and purchasing related transactions and deal with any subsequent enquiries that arise on a day-to-day basis.

You will also support other Faculty Teams as needed by undertaking a range of clerical tasks as needed, eg to cover absences or to provide support during peak work period, as directed by the Finance Manager. There is, therefore, a significant proportion of the role dedicated to general administrative duties, in addition to the financial administrative tasks.   

You will be organised, have good attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. You will also be able to demonstrate good communication skills both face to face and in writing. Proficient with IT, you will also have a strong desire to develop new skills in a finance environment.

This post is part time (18.25 hours a week/0.5fte) Mon-Wed, hours will be discussed at interview.
