Residential Services offer accommodation to over 6,700 rooms each year. In order to enhance the service offered to our diverse customers, we are recruiting a Customer Services Advisor. You will be part of a team who support the smooth running of our Halls of Residence providing an excellent customer service to our students and other stakeholders.

The role will be within the Accommodation Team, where the main responsibilities include:

The allocation and occupancy of the 6,700 rooms within the University accommodation estate using our accommodation software packageProviding advice and guidance to current and prospective residents regarding their accommodation options and contracts, primarily via emailWorking with the team and with University stakeholders in assisting with the preparation of events such as Arrivals and Open DaysProviding information and guidance to both students and landlords using SASSH, our private rented housing accreditation schemeSupporting our marketing and communications activities such as updating our website  

The successful candidate will need to quickly pick up new software packages, and be competent in the use of systems and Microsoft Packages. You will be an excellent team player with a proven ability to work proactively. You will be patient, well organised and adaptable. Excellent communication skills will be essential, as well as the ability to liaise with a variety of teams within the University in a professional manner. 

The position offers a 36 hour/week contract working a 10am-6pm shift pattern with occasional shifts between 8am-4pm and 9am-5pm to meet business needs. You will also be expected to be available for occasional weekend working.
