A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Professor within the Nottingham programme team of the Trent Doctoral Training Programme in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy). The programme is commissioned by Health Education England and delivered through a partnership of local NHS Trusts in Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire with the Universities of Nottingham and Lincoln. It has a current intake of 16 trainees per year and is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). 

The successful candidate will be a qualified Clinical Psychologist with post-qualification experience, who is registered with the HCPC. Eligiblity for Chartered status with the BPS is desirable. The post holder will act as Personal Tutor to DClinPsy trainees in Nottingham, organise and contribute to academic teaching, and supervise doctoral research.

This post is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and committed team. The person appointed will be a highly motivated individual with a strong commitment to developing Clinical Psychology, and will be engaged in clinical practice concurrent to the post.  

This post is part-time (21.75 hours per week or to a minimum of 14.5 hours per week) and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of two years. It may be offered on a secondment basis, if the successful candidate’s current employer was in agreement.
