Campus and Accommodation Services 

Commercial Services is responsible for the provision of campus catering services, conference and function facilities and management of the student halls of residences in Cottingham.  The Service provides a varied range of catering facilities for both internal and external customers ranging from small corporate meetings to large outdoor exhibitions.

We are seeking a chef to help the catering services of the University. The post holder will be based within the Commercial Services section of Campus and Accommodation Services and will work primarily at the Lawns site in Cottingham. Ideally the selected candidate will have some background in the hotel and restaurant industry, some function experience and hold a hygiene certificate. The role is full time time and it is expected the post holder will work five days out of seven on a rota basis.

The post holder will responsible for the provision of a high quality catering service to staff, students, and visitors whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

The successful applicant will have a genuine interest for this work and will need to be a good ‘team player’ capable of assuming responsibility.
