An exciting opportunity is available for a talented psychology researcher to join the Primary Care Group to work on the RECUR programme. The aim of the RECUR programme is to develop and trial a number of approaches to reduce recurrent respiratory tract infection in primary care. These approaches include digital interventions targeting physical activity and stress management, and nasal sprays. RECUR is comprised of a number of studies including initial qualitative studies, a feasibility trial and a full randomised controlled trial. The post will involve leading on academic set up and running of the feasibility trial (developing and writing protocols for registration and publication, developing and running process studies, academic oversight of feasibility trial), contributing to intervention development activities (including qualitative studies, intervention planning and optimisation), leading on and contributing to research outputs including publications and conference presentations. The work will be carried out under the supervision of Dr Adam Geraghty and Professor Paul Little, 

You will have an in-depth understanding of health psychology and will be starting to build your academic standing, aiming to gain recognition at a national level. Your knowledge and experience will usually have been gained through a relevant PhD*, but may also have been achieved via other research experience, normally supported by a relevant postgraduate degree. You will have demonstrated your ability to work independently and efficiently managing research studies, and will have excellent written English skills with meticulous attention to detail. 

Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification.  The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
