Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Professor  in Entrepreneurship & Innovation which is based in the Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (HGI) at Nottingham University Business School.

The Haydn Green Institute (HGI) is a leading centre for research, education and practice in entrepreneurship and innovation. The Institute provides a programme of world class entrepreneurship education across undergraduate, postgraduate and executive levels. Academic staff at HGI are engaged in research exploring issues such as entrepreneurial legitimacy, technology entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education and social and digital innovation. HGI actively translates this research evidence into practical outcomes, providing societal and economic impact. This is manifest locally within the Ingenuity lab which supports students, alumni and early career researchers to realise their entrepreneurial aspirations. At a global level, HGI hosts high profile innovation competitions including the YES programmes for early career researchers, the annual Ingenuity innovation event for students, alumni, ECRs and local communities of the international campuses and the International Ingenuity Challenge to address the Sustainable Development Goals (www.nottingham.ac.uk/enterprise).

The person appointed will be expected to engage in high quality research and to contribute to teaching on the range of programmes offered by the School at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. They will also be required to make an appropriate contribution to administration.

Candidates should have a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant area together with previous teaching experience in relevant subjects at HE level. They should have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in relevant subjects.  An ability to publish entrepreneurship and innovation related research in high quality academic journals is also required. Candidates should have the ability to develop their own research area, the flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and the ability to work well in a team.

This full-time post (36.25 hours per week)is offered on a permanent contract.
