The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint an International Officer who will lead on the University’s relations with international sponsored students and their sponsors.

The post holder will need to have strong inter-cultural competency, experience of working with international students, and a proven understanding of customer service. 

The post holder will be responsible for building and strengthening the community of international sponsored students, developing new programmes to enhance their experience, engagement, development and recognition, working closely with colleagues in the Student Union and Student Services. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring regular, pro-active communication with international sponsors, providing reports and other documents according to an agreed timetable and responding to other requests in a timely and respectful fashion, with a focus on excellent customer service.

This role requires an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a strong focus on customer service. The position will sit within the International Office and a key aim of this department is to deliver international student recruitment numbers and international fee income in line with agreed targets within these markets. In carrying out the role, the post holder will promote and enhance the University’s reputation with international sponsors in support of student recruitment, partnership development and conversion.

The International Officer will work as part of a team and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the full range of the team’s activities. Developing and implementing a recruitment strategy to achieve agreed targets, international travel to relevant markets, attendance at international education exhibitions and identifying new recruitment channels will be an important part of this role.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
