Description :

Lancaster University is delivering an exciting new project, supporting the development of the Health Innovation Campus (HIC), due to open in spring 2020 and is seeking to make an appointment to the role of Communications and Events Officer.

The new £41m Health Innovation Campus (HIC) at Lancaster University will make a major contribution towards tackling some of the significant health challenges we face today.

As we build the physical space, we are also working with Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) based in Lancashire. Through a £2 million revenue project part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) we are supporting over 300 businesses, charities, and social enterprises to develop health ideas into innovative products and services. We deliver support via workshops and seminars, technical prototyping and leadership development.

The Marketing & Events Officer will work with colleagues across campus to strategically market a thriving, sustainable HIC cluster network in advance of the building opening, maximising opportunities for SMEs to co-locate within the facility; through the promotion of dissemination of positive success stories.

The Health Innovation Campus now seeks to employ a committed and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the marketing and promotion of events as part of the project.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring professional and timely delivery of marketing communications to target audiences. Working as part the project team to support promotional activity for a range of activities, you will use your strong marketing and communication skills to plan and create targeted quality materials and compelling content, utilising creative suppliers and liaising with colleagues from across the University. You will support the organisation of events, engaging internal and external stakeholders to maximise return on investment.

Highly organised and with an eye for detail, you will have experience of working cohesively in a busy team environment and managing multiple priorities. The role provides an excellent opportunity to join the Higher Education sector, within a flagship project and a highly acclaimed university.

This post is subject to funding being awarded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund Programme 2014-2020 and is offered on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2020 in the first instance.

We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
