The Department for Children and Young People’s Health has an exciting opportunity for a Children’s Nurse to join our team as an Assistant Lecturer. We are a well-established, supportive, friendly team who work in close partnership with practice partners and students to create an excellent learning environment. As an Assistant Lecturer you will support the design, development and delivery of learning and teaching across nursing programmes.  You must be highly motivated, well organised with excellent communication and organisational skills.  You must be able to work closely with practice partners, establish clinical links, provide pastoral support for students and have a keen interest in teaching. We welcome applicants from all specialities and from both hospital and community services.  

Applicants must be degree holders (or equivalent) and have current registration with the NMC as a Registered Children’s Nurse.  Successful applicants will if necessary be fully funded and supported through our own teacher training apprenticeship, including full support for study attendance, and the allocation of a dedicated mentor to support them through the learning requirements.
