The School of Mathematical Sciences at University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) seeks to fill academic positions at the level of Assistant Professor. The position is open to candidates with research interests in any field of Mathematics or Statistics.

Successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate Applied Mathematics/Statistics programmes. The people appointed will also be expected to conduct ongoing original research for publication and contribute to the research activities of the School.

Candidates must have a PhD in a relevant discipline. Experience of teaching and tutorial work in relevant subjects at undergraduate level in an international English-speaking institution is also preferable. The role holder will be mainly expected to contribute to the teaching and research of the School. 

Salary will be within the range RMB411,197 – RMB541,469 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance). In addition, an attractive package including employment support allowance, schooling support and insurance will be provided for international appointments.

The posts are available from September 2020 or as soon as thereafter and will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham Ningbo China for a period of up to five years. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
