Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Law (LPF20-06RA)

The School of Law, Policing and Forensics is currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated Lecturer in Law to cover maternity leave for 6 months in the first instance. This is an exciting opportunity to join the department and make a contribution to the delivery of high quality legal education within an era of change to professional qualification.

In this key role you will contribute to the development and delivery of the academic provision to undergraduate and postgraduate law students, contributing to teaching on core LLB modules and selected option modules. You will also support the School, and the wider University, to deliver new initiatives and developments in line with our strategic objectives.

With experience of teaching in HE you will have the ability to deliver an excellent student experience through creative and innovative learning, and a commitment to pastoral care, as well as actively engaging in scholarly activity and research, to make a contribution to our emerging research agenda. 

Whilst applications in all fields of legal expertise are invited, we would welcome interest in relation to the following areas: Law of Contract and obligations, Company and Commercial Law and the Foundations of Legal Knowledge. 

You will possess a PhD or be working towards one or equivalent professional standing/ professional legal practice experience in a relevant subject area.
