This post is to support and co-ordinate the project delivery of the Centres for Excellence in Mathematics Research Programme (CfEM). This is a major project being undertaken by the Centre for Research in Mathematics Education (CRME) at the University of Nottingham. The research programme is a core part of the DfE-funded Programme being undertaken by a consortium of partners, coordinated by the Education Training Foundation (ETF). CRME will be responsible for leading trials of a mastery teaching approach and developing Whole College Approaches (WCA) for improving mathematics provision. These will research approaches to improving outcomes in mathematics for students working towards GCSE resits.

The role is instrumental to successful delivery of the research project, dealing with issues swiftly, supporting stakeholder engagement, relationships and communications, and ensuring that day to day work is planned, coordinated and delivered efficiently and effectively. 

A consistently high degree of personal responsibility and initiative will be required to respond independently to queries and use judgement to deal with daily unforeseen problems and circumstances, with limited guidance. The role holder will plan and organise their own work and, when applicable that of others, with discretion to determine and change priorities as required. They will typically set and monitor standards within their own work area, and be charged with improving operational effectiveness and quality of service through the application of process improvements and other changes.

The post is offered on a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
