Description :

Do you want your research to support the next generation of medical professionals? Are you interested in mental health? Are you keen to conduct work which has immediate, real-world impact?

One in two medical students report high burnout and one in three experience depression. Many stressful experiences for medical students occur on placement, including exposure to dying patients and death; fear over making medical errors and involvement in errors and dilemmas concerning decisions about patient care.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable researcher to support REBOOT-Med, a study of a psychological intervention designed to prepare medical students for the stressful events they will encounter on their placements and later, in their work as medical professionals.  You will help with participant recruitment, interviewing participants, collecting quantitative and qualitative data and data analysis.

It is essential that you have a range of relevant research experience (data collection, secure data storage, excellent communication skills, and qualitative analysis skills). It is also desirable that you have background knowledge of working/researching in healthcare settings or with healthcare professionals and a passion for improving the NHS.
