Student Casework Manager (Part Time) (CF8752)

The University is seeking to appoint an experienced and hard-working professional within the newly created Student Policy and Safeguarding department.  This exciting role will have responsibility for:

Leading implementation of a coordinated approach to the management of the University’s student complaints, Fitness to Study, Fitness to Practice and related procedures Implementing innovative, evidence-based improvements to case management proceduresDrafting and reviewing relevant policies and guidelines, working proactively with academic and professional service colleagues. 

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to enhancing student wellbeing and success by managing a range of student experience related policies and procedures, training, advice and guidance for students and staff whilst working closely with other Professional Services, Academic Departments, the Student’s Union and community organisations.

The successful applicant will have experience of ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational policy;  high-level decision making involving complex and/or sensitive issues, policy development, programme evaluation and process improvement and knowledge of HE sector-wide issues, case management, legislative requirements and relevant national codes of practice.. A relevant academic qualification or equivalent relevant professional experience.

This role part time working 18.25 hours per week (0.5 FTE) and will sit within the new Student Policy and Safeguarding Department which comprises four teams: Policy and Projects, Student Conduct; Student Complaints and Casework and Student Safeguarding.
