Are you an academic with proven abilities to carry out teaching and scholarship activities for Physician Associates and other related topics?  Can you pursue, develop and take forward pedagogic developments? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University?

 

In line with the University’s Learning and Teaching strategy you will contribute to a highly developed portfolio of undergraduate and taught postgraduate teaching and contribute to scholarly activities within the School. Your role will focus on the leadership and continuous development of the postgraduate diploma Physician Associates Programme, but may also include teaching, assessment, quality assurance and other related duties on this or other programmes.   

Working closely with the School of Medicine’s education leadership team, the post-holder will be responsible for liaising with a range of stakeholders including external placement providers and Health Education England to support the training of Physician Associates. This post offers the opportunity to lead on a successful, expanding postgraduate programme responding to the needs of the local healthcare economy.  

Applicants should ideally be a physician associate or a registered health professional with significant clinical experience, as well as holding a higher degree and have experience of teaching/assessing in a variety of settings.
