About the role 

Applications are invited from enthusiastic BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapists to join our academic staff team on our courses in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy including the BABCP Accredited Postgraduate Diploma in CBT, CBT for Long Term Health Conditions and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner apprenticeship.

The Staffordshire University CBT courses are situated within the Psychology Department of the School of Health, Science and Wellbeing at Staffordshire University and is based in the Science Centre, Stoke Campus. 

The role involves responsibilities for the organisation and delivery of the long-term conditions courses, teaching and assessing students, clinical supervision and personal tutoring. Additionally the postholder will be involved in course monitoring and quality enhancement activities. The role also involves liaising directly with key stakeholders, such as local Service Managers.

Applicants will have a MSc/Postgraduate Diploma in CBT, or equivalent relevant to the discipline. Applicants must be BABCP Accredited and in practice as an ongoing requirement of the post. Applicants should have worked for a minimum of two years post-qualification and successful applicants will have significant experience of providing clinical supervision to trainees and of working within clinical settings. Successful applicants will possess excellent IT and interpersonal skills.

Previous employment in delivering CBT training programmes, research skills and a track record of publications would be advantageous.

This role is based on part time 0.6 FTE.
