About the Role

As Reader or Professor in Health Psychology you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within Psychology.

You will inspire and promote enhancement activity and act as an expert adviser at the forefront of Health Psychology research and knowledge exchange.

This role offers you a unique opportunity to shape our newly created MSc in Health Psychology. You will contribute significantly to the leadership, design, and delivery of this programme, as well as contribute to other core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.

About You

You will be an internationally recognised leader for research and knowledge exchange in Health Psychology. You should have demonstrable leadership skills and be willing to support and mentor research and knowledge exchange activity across the department.

An enthusiastic, approachable and friendly professional, you will have teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be passionate and committed to providing an excellent student experience and delivering the highest quality teaching. 

To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and experience of professional practice. You must be a BPS Chartered Psychologist with full membership of the Division of Health Psychology. You will ideally have (or be eligible for) Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
