The University is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our newly launched Centre of Excellence in Ageing on a 0.3 FTE (10.8 hours per week) basis as the Centre Coordinator.

 

The postholder will play a pro-active role in providing exceptional administrative and coordination support to the centre, being the first point of contact and galvanising a network of researchers across the University and stakeholders beyond it.  The Centre Coordinator will confidently use their strong interpersonal and communications skills to ensure the smooth running of the centre.

 

The successful applicant will have excellent organisational skills, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail, they will also need to be comfortable working independently and to within deadlines. The postholder will have excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office packages, and ideally have experience of web content management. It would be advantageous if candidates were familiar with or have experience of working in a research or knowledge exchange environment.

 

Applicants should be educated to Degree level, HND, NVQ 4 qualified and or have several years’ relevant experience.

This part time role is initially available at 0.3 FTE (10.8 hours per week), however there is the prospect for additional hours up to 0.4 FTE (14.4 hours per week) subject to further approvals.
