The University library has an opportunity available within its Client Services and Support team. This team provides front line services including loan, access and membership services and information and enquiry provision.

The position is user facing so all candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and enhancing the user experience. Working as part of a large team, the successful candidate will be reliable and flexible with a proactive attitude to service and personal development. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently without direct supervision. Computer literacy is also essential with search skills and the ability to work with databases highly relevant.

The posts are primarily based at Hartley Library, although the post holders will be expected to work flexibly by working at other sites by arrangement.

Working hours: Equivalent to 3.63 hrs per week The post holder works on a 2 week rota working alternate Saturdays. Week 1 Saturday 8.45- 5 Week 2 Not working.
