We are seeking a highly motivated individual to manage widening participation activity within admissions.  Part of the Undergraduate Admissions Team, this post is responsible for planning and delivering initiatives to support students from under-represented backgrounds throughout the application process and liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure our approach is integrated with outreach, recruitment and induction activities.  This includes overseeing additional consideration of target applications and the provision of advice and guidance to enquirers and acting as an expert and advocate for non A-level qualifications.  In addition, the post holder supports the Student Recruitment Team and Widening Participation Office in admissions-related outreach activities.  The role includes working closely with colleagues across the institution, in particular Admissions Tutors and other academic staff.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience.  Professional experience in an admissions or widening participation role is essential, as is a working knowledge of school and college education frameworks.  Experience of working with young people and widening participation in HE is desirable.  The role includes monitoring and reporting responsibilities, and both independent and team working is required.
