Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have an established background in computational molecular evolution Do you want to further your career in one of the UKs leading research intensive Universities?

We are seeking an ambitious scientist to join a dynamic research group pursuing genomic scale research concerning animal molecular evolution. The position is to provide support for an academic lead taking maternity leave.  You will join a strong and active research team that is part of a growing initiative entitled Leeds Omics. The group has interests in both the analytical and empirical analyses of genomic data, from a molecular evolutionary perspective, as well as in more theoretical concepts around evolution of life on the planet. The current focus of the research group is phylogenomics and adaptive evolution. The research activity is computational and has ongoing collaborations with a variety of wet bench groups. You will make some minor undergraduate or postgraduate teaching contributions and help supervise the research group.

The University of Leeds and the Faculty of Biological Sciences are committed to providing equal opportunities for all and offer a range of family friendly policies.
