Description :

Applications are invited for the above role based at the University's Jubilee Campus.

We are seeking to employ a part time researcher to support the Mathematics in Further Education Colleges Project (MiFEC) which is funded by the Nuffield Foundation.  The project takes a mixed method, multi-scale approach to understanding the various factors influencing mathematics teaching and learning in FE.  One strand of the project focuses on statistical analyses of large-scale, national secondary datasets.  The role holder will be largely working on this aspect of the project, but will also contribute to some of the case study work and other strands of the project as appropriate.

Applicants should hold a masters degree in a relevant subject area, have expertise in conducting quantitative research and experience of successfully managing large datasets and analysing quantitative data.

Hours for the role are 21.75 per week and the role will be offered on a fixed term basis until 30th November 2019.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Professor Andrew Noyes, email Andrew.Noyes@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
