Applications are invited for the above position in Multiphase Flow research within Fluids and Thermofluids Research Group at the Faculty of Engineering. The Faculty has an excellent international reputation for high quality theoretical and experimental research funded by the EPSRC, Innovate UK, and the industry.

Multiphase flow team is looking for a suitable candidates for a project sponsored by a company to investigating gas-liquid two phase flow development in large diameter pipes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced graduate/postgraduate to play a leading role in a challenging project working with industrial partners.

Candidates must possess a good knowledge of theoretical models and experimental two phase fluid dynamics, and ability to analyse time series data using FFT or/and wavelet analyse. Previous expertise in experimental two phase flow would be preferable. The person appointed is expected to have good communication and presentation skills to interact with the industrial partner.

Candidates must possess a good first degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering or related disciplines, and preferably a PhD degree in experimental multiphase or single phase flow related study.

This full-time post is fixed-term for a period of one year.
