The University Hospitality department isn't just about student catering. We have many outlets on campus and we're expanding. As well as catering to students, we host large conferences and banquets. We currently have a vacancy for a Food & Beverage Assistant. As a Food & Beverage Assistant you will be required to ensure that the day to day running of the catering operation is smooth and that customers are provided with a high standard of service at all times. Your responsibilities will include taking customer orders, serving food and drink, working on the tills, stocking food stations and assisting with cleaning and clearing tables and catering areas. Delivering excellent customer service is at the heart of everything we do. You will have experience of providing an excellent standard of customer service in a customer focussed environment. Previous experience of working in the Hospitality industry would be an advantage. You should be a good team worker and be able to be calm and professional in high pressure situations, as it can be extremely busy during peak times. We consider ourselves part of one big team across all of the outlets and there may be opportunities to work in different outlets to gain further experience. If you want to develop into a supervisory position, we'll do everything we can to help you achieve this.
